(B) Nazi German "dou 44" Code K98 Mauser bolt action rifle. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Wood has numerous dings, scratches, and gouges, but is solid. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with wear and handling marks. Unfinished wood stock with sharp "1895" dated cartouche on the left side of the butt. Blued metal components with the bolt being left in the white. Standard blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 2000 meters. This rifle looks to be completely mismatched. Barrel has a SAMCO Global import mark under the barrel. This rifle looks to have been converted to 7.62x51 NATO, as "7.62/N" is stamped on the receiver bridge. Made circa 1895-96 at the Ludwig Loewe plant in Berlin.
